Chemical
GFRP walkways, covers and gratings for chemical plants: acids, vapours and isophthalic or vinylester resin.
Contact usChemicals: access cannot be the first piece of equipment that is eaten
Vapours, spills and wash-down with acids or alkalis finish steel in a few years. CME manufactures GFRP walkways, gratings, handrails, covers and bridges for chemical plants: the material does not rust and does not depend on a paint film.
The same logic across the site: floor, rail and frame in composite, with isophthalic or vinylester resin according to the medium.
Where it is used
Platforms and walkways over ponds, dosing units and process lines.
Covers on tanks and basins for odour, splash and personnel protection.
Stairs, handrails and gratings in pump rooms, dosing and acid loading.
Why not stainless
Stainless also pits in chlorides and acids. GFRP does not corrode and does not leach rust into the process.
Light: a span is swapped in a short shutdown, without a large crane.
CME chooses the resin (isophthalic or vinylester) and sizes the span for the load and the chemical.
Chemicals
Acids, alkalis and vapours. Resin according to the medium.
Integrity
No rust that contaminates the process or opens the joint.
Dielectric
Does not conduct. Less risk in wet rooms with switchgear.
Shutdown
Fast assembly. Fewer hours of plant downtime.
